The ES2828 MC'97 modem chip is an analog-front-end (AFE) chip designed to work with the ESS Technology's V.92 DSP modem chip or with system core-logic chipsets, to offer the most versatile modem solution. With the addition of an external transformer DAA, the ES2828 modem AFE chip provides a complete host-based V.92 modem solution.
